Our carpentry program for boys has been going for ten years now with 69 graduates who have gone from having almost no education to having skills in a much-needed trade in Kabul. All either have jobs or have started up their own business in Kabul, allowing them to support their families.
Rosemary Marquardt – a much-loved member of our committee and driver behind AADO’s success – passed away suddenly in 2017 and her family made a generous donation to the program in her memory and we have been able to purchase much needed equipment for these young men.
