We have had to make the difficult choice to postpone our Afghan New Year celebration, Nowroz 1402, previously advertised for Sunday 26th March 2.30-5.00pm. Ramadan, the month observed by Muslims as a time of fasting, prayer, reflection and community, commences this week and regrettably, we find the planned Nowroz on 26th March falls within that time. With need to be inclusive, we are thus rescheduling our Nowroz celebration to after Ramadan and Easter – to Sunday 30th April, 2:30pm-5:00pm in lieu of on 26th March.
Arrangements including our special guest, former Afghan Judge and Prosecutor, Mahtab Fazl, speaking on “Experiences of a Female Judge Protecting Women’s Rights in Afghanistan” are all the same apart from the new date, so we invite you to save the date of 30th April.
