Give the gift of livelihood this Christmas

There are thousands of teenage boys living precariously in Kabul, most with little education and few prospects. 68 of these boys have now graduated from our one-year carpentry & literacy course, and are now employed or in their own business, supporting their families and helping reconstruct Kabul.
For a donation of just $AU100 you could help make a livelihood possible for a young man in war-torn Afghanistan.

Many women, particularly in remove villages were denied schooling during the Taliban rule and are widows with children. Our Village program teaches basic literacy & numeracy, tailoring & embroidery and, so far, 1200 women in 72 villages have graduated and received a sewing machine to set up their own small business.
For a donation of $100 you could help make a livelihood possible for a woman and her children in the provinces of Afghanistan.  Read …..

In Afghanistan, science education is a very high priority for university entrance. However, few teachers have adequate qualifications for year 12 science. Our intensive, train-the-trainer, 1-year science course has trained 4,000 science teachers and they, in turn have trained 16,000 others. 2,400 more Master Science places are needed so students across Afghanistan have tertiary education opportunities.

donation of $500 would go a long way towards higher qualifications for a science teacher in Afghanistan.
